Submission details
| Participants will submit an outline of a business plan that could lead to the creation of a successful business. This can be a new product or service that fulfils a market niche or an enhancement of an existing product or service that has the potential to create value, increase sales or reduce costs. It may consist of an entirely new idea or it could focus on a new way of doing things. |

We need the following material from the applicants:
- An updated CV
- Business Proposals
Business plans being submitted for the competition should not exceed 1,500 words (English) and should include the following:
a. An overview of the overarching business idea or concept (maximum 400 words)
b. Competitive advantage analysis (maximum 300 words)
c. Target market analysis (maximum 300 words)
d. Estimated timeline for breakeven (table plus maximum 100 words commentary)
e. Estimated revenue and net income breakeven (table plus maximum 100 words commentary)
f. An examination of risks (maximum 200 words)
g. Scope of employment opportunities for Emiratis (maximum 100 words)
Plans submitted will be kept confidential by the judging panel but will not be returned.

Deadline: 30th Sep 2010, 12:00 noon UAE time
Shortlisted finalists will be invited for the presentation to the judging panel.
Rules and Regulations:
- Participants found to have committed copyright infringements in their work will be disqualified.
- All information relating to the business proposal including personal data of the participants will be used by Manchester Business School (MBS) strictly for purposes relating to the Awards, including the disclosure and transfer thereof to the judges and the media where necessary.
- All information including personal data of the participants will be used for publicising the event.
- All information including personal data of the participants will be stored and kept by the MBS for a mininmum period of 24 months from the date when such data are collected.
- All works submitted will not be returned to participants.
- All participants whose entry forms have been duly completed and submitted may have their names published on the official website and/or official publication.
- Participants may be requested to attend some publicity campaigns e.g. promotion activities and media interview, etc.
- Participants must adhere to the rules and regulations set out for this competition. Participants failing to abide by the rules and regulations will be subject to disqualification.
- MBS has the final rights in the interpretation and amendment of the rules and regulations.
- MBS will not be responsible for computer failures due to computer virus transmitted via e-mail correspondence or other means.
- The decision of the judging panel on all results shall be final and conclusive. No appeals will be entertained.
- Any finalists failing to attend the final presentation will be assumed to have given up the right to compete.
- MBS reserves the right to alter or modify the rules or schedule of the event if necessary or expedient.
- MBS will not be responsible for any accidents, injuries or damage which might occur during participation in or attendance at this competition or any other related activities.
- Participants found to have committed a crime will be disqualified
